Prof Jyoti Kumar a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, is currently associated with IIT Delhi as Associate Professor, Department of Design. As a professor at IIT Delhi he is not only passionate about teaching user experience (UX) design to young professionals and students but has a deep interest in researching various aspects of design thinking for the benefits of society and nation. His key research areas are Design Academics, Yoga Neuroscience of value based education and UX Design Thinking.

He has also been a member of National level committees such as consulting committee for evaluation of performance for National Awards for PMAY-G, MHRD logo and tag-line evaluation committee, Republic day tableau design committee (2019) and many more.

Prof Jyoti Kumar has also delivered several high level talks on “Social immersion as a design thinking tool”, “Cognitive skills and design thinking”, “Introduction to human computer interaction design”, at various national & international level events.

He has also an expert of impact assessment study and has done many such studies. To name a few are Career Aspirations of Indian Youth (2023), Impact Assessment Study of usage of digital tablets in CSC Bal Vidyalaya (2022), Impact Assessment Study of Atal Tinkering Labs implemented by IMB (2022) Impact Assessment Study of Digital Gaon (2019), Impact Assessment Study of skilling of Persons with Disabilities (2018) and Rural Housing Knowledge Network (2018).
